From Christmas indulgence to New Year's resolutions
Have you recovered from the Christmas chaos yet?
I haven’t.
It wasn’t even Christmas that was all that chaotic since I saw my family in Europe earlier in December. And still it feels like it’s been go go go all month (if not all year).
I’m sure I’m not alone in this feeling. If you're still feeling overwhelmed or anxious from the holiday chaos, check out my previous blog on Navigating Anxiety During the Holiday Season.
So what are we going to do about it?
1. Take off the pressure
Well, for one, I’m not going to add any more pressure on myself with ambitious new year goals.
I have exciting ambitions and projects that I will continue pursuing. Like my Self-discovery guidebook that I’m releasing on January 15th!
That’s enough to keep me busy for the next few weeks.
2. Taking time to reflect & BE
Second, I will dedicate time over the next few days to BREATHE, REFLECT and TAP.
I’m overdue for some downtime and my regular emotional release. Sometimes there are too many competing priorities for me to get into that headspace. And that’s ok.
I choose to have compassion for myself and the current situation. Those tools of reflecting, meditating and tapping will be there for me when I’m ready.
3. Practice mindful presence
Lastly, I will challenge myself to be present for a few days as I chill with friends over New Years.
And let me tell you, that is no small task for me 😅 My neuro-spicy brain likes to buzz about like a tropical storm - it’s super stormy here as I write this.
Anywho, I’m looking forward to hanging out with good humans, taking time for myself and reflecting on everything I’m grateful for.
What intention are you setting for the next few days or weeks?
As always, I genuinely love hearing from you. Message me on socials or shoot me an email! 💜
Wishing you a fabulous start to the new year ✨
Love,
Zoe
